November Homeschool Plan

Wrote this out and forgot to publish it.

Math
  • KhanAcademy - 3-4x/week, advance at own pace
  • Calculadder - 2-3x/week, advance at own pace, cutting back a bit so it doesn't get so mundane
  • Life of Fred - start & finish Honey

  • Math Games - I really want to be playing more math games with the kids, hoping 2-3x/week
Language Arts
  • Scribblers online writing class (Kate) - doing Poetry II class
  • Tutoring (Jack) - 3x/week

October Homeschool Review

We got more done than I expected (keep those expectations low!) even with the lack of consistent internet on our road trip. Still, I always feel a bit behind when we get back from a road trip, so we've spent the last two weeks focused on "catching up" on main subjects.

Math
  • KhanAcademy - 3-4x/week, advance at own pace
  • Calculadder - slacked off this this month
  • Life of Fred - finished Goldfish just this weekend
  • MathUSee - making good progress, Jack is through Gamma lesson 26, Kate is through Delta lesson 23
Language Arts
  • Scribblers online writing class (Kate) - completed
  • Tutoring (Jack) - 3x/week
  • Increasing Fluency (Jack) - still haven't started this, just have plenty going on right now
  • First Language Lessons Level 4 - through lesson 21

  • Spelling City - Jack - 2-3x/week
  • AlphaBetter drills - slacked off this month
  • Using Picture Books to Teach Writing With Traits - nope
  • Reading - going well, I just don't feel like typing out all the books everyone has read. Maybe I'll come back and edit later...
  • Audiobooks - we listened to the 2nd Benedict Society book and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
  • Comprehension/Vocabulary/Book Reports - EdHelper questions/worksheets as applicable to reading - this was mostly done, not going to list them all

Science
  • Physics - nope
  • Planet Earth test worksheets from Enchanted Homeschool Mom that we started last year - nope
  • Wolves - it's so difficult for me to call us "done" on a subject that is so much fun. Still a few lingering thoughts of activities, but mostly done
