Italy Day #2

I thought Kate getting sick might ruin our little trip to Italy, but in the end it wasn't too bad. She had quit vomiting by morning but still felt pretty awful.

We had intended to switch hotels after the first night because the family room at the Hotel Pasquele was only available one night. Fortunately, they had another room that would accommodate all 4 of us. That was good because even moving Kate upstairs was a bit of a chore.

Matt took Jack out to explore while I relaxed in out room with Kate. It was actually pretty nice to just sit and read and look out the window.

Kate felt better by early afternoon and asked to go down to the sea after a small snack.

We waded in the water, collected rocks and sea glass, and soaked in some sun. Matt and Jack joined us when they returned. Matt even took a chilly dip.

Kate felt well enough that we decided to take the train to Riomaggiore for dinner. We explored a bit, ate dinner and went back early to the hotel. We wanted a good sleep for our adventure the next day.
