Charity Giveaway Winner

Sorry I haven't been online. No internet access in the mountains. I'm not complaining... I relax better when surfing the net isn't an option!

Because there was no internet, I was a bit late choosing the Charity Giveaway winner. So instead of making my last donation of 2007, I made my first donation of 2008 to the nonprofit chosen by commenter #44. Heidi chose The Northern New Mexico Midwifery Center (as did so many others!). I opted to change my donation to $2 per comment and donated $104 this morning.

I loved seeing all the nonprofits that bloggers support. Sometime this week or next I'll share the nonprofits that Matt and I support regularly. I enjoyed the charity giveaway so much that I plan to do it again next year. Hope you'll be back to support it again.

Well done. I had a feeling the midwives might get the donation, the ladies came out in strong support of their center. It's a wonderful cause, I'm sure, as they all are, and I'm thinking they are an especially grateful bunch over there in Taos. This was a great idea and I've been eagerly anticipating finding out where the donation went. And personally, I'm glad I found another blog that I enjoy reading, so thanks for that!

I spent a good portion of the day surfing one day last week and happened upon your blog. I LOVE this idea - very creative and a wonderful way to give back AND encourage others to do so as well. I may just borrow the idea (if you don't mind).
Thank you for the inspiration!

My super wonderful friend stacy told me about it. Thank you so much! Lots of love from the midwives and apprentices over here in New Mexico. www.taosbirth.blogspot.com
